The World Diabetes Day celebration event was held at Base Hospital (Teaching) Gampola on 14 th November 2021 on world Diabetes Day. The Theme of for World Diabetes Day is Access to the Diabetes Care.

The Celebration was held at the Auditorium of the Hospital consisted of awareness Sessions, Poster Competition and a Drama.

Hospital staff and their children were participated in the Poster Competition

Consultant Physicians Dr. Zarook Shahabdeen conducted the awareness on Diabetic Control and Dr. Vajira Jayasinghe conducted awareness on Diabetic Foot care

A Drama was presented by the Nursing officers

The event was organized by the Diabetic Health Education unit of Base Hospital (Teaching) Gampola
